Wireless hands-free infrared microphone

The IR-310M is capable of operating on one of two selectable IR frequencies and two transmitters can work simultaneously. It is also capable of operation with one rechargeable AA Ni-MH battery IR-200BT-2 for continuous operations up to 8 hours. The new microphone has a designated battery charger (IR-310BC). The battery charger is compact and features an anti-overcharging design.  

This new microphone was designed and launched based on customer feedback, requesting a lighter, smaller, versatile microphone that they could wear around their neck. An optional headset microphone input was included for enhanced comfort.

The IR-310M includes a clip that attaches to clothing to secure it into place so the microphone does not move, or distract the teacher. It can also be clipped onto a belt or used as a handheld microphone that can be passed around the classroom.

TOA also added an Interface Unit – IR-801AF, to the IR Classroom System product offering. The Interface unit enables paging and can control external devices through a function button on the side of the IR-310M microphone. This unit can be hooked up to the classroom system as well as the school paging system to allow for communications throughout the entire building.

To make purchasing the IR Classroom System simple, TOA offers the IR-800KIT3 classroom kit, which provides quick and easy installation and includes not only the new IR-310M microphone but also a ceiling speaker (IR-820SP), IR Tuner (IR-802T), microphone battery charger (IR-310BC), Ni-MH battery (IR-200BT-2), wall mount bracket for tuner (WB-802), support rails for ceiling speaker (HY-TB1), 50ft. Category 5 Ethernet cable (CAT-5E), 3ft 3.5mm stereo cable (CSTEREO-03) and 36ft RCA stereo cable (ACG36). The IR-800KIT4 includes all of the above but contains two each of the IR microphones and microphone battery chargers.
