
Texas IT firm opens in PEI

Buchanan Technologies Inc. has already hired 10 information technology specialists and is projecting to create 46 jobs on the Island within the next three years.
The company could get about $700,000 in wage and salary rebates over five years through the province’s Innovation and Development Labour Rebate if the projected new jobs are created.
The company says it will hire a range of technical specialist positions, including technical support, an MDM specialist, a network specialist, a security specialist, a desktop support specialist and administration.
Buchanan Technologies provides both basic and advanced technology support to companies _ everything from troubleshooting passwords and email access to more advanced monitoring of server environments, databases, mobility and desktops.
The Charlottetown office is one of seven operated by the company worldwide.
