One device, double the protection

Texecom, a UK-based manufacturer of intruder alarms, recently announced the launch of the Impaq Plus with Magnetic Contact, an advance the firm says allows installation of one device for double protection on opening doors and windows.

According to the vendor, the product is fully compliant with TS 50131-2-6 Grade 2 and is suitable for use within an EN 50131 Grade 2 system. Double reed switches allow the magnet to be installed on either side of the shock sensor, increasing location flexibility and ease of installation.

Other features include tri-colour LED set-up method, latching and first to alarm input, selectable range and independently selectable comfort and detection LED. Digital Signal Processing continually monitors the environment ensuring only genuine signals can cause an alarm, Texecom says.
