
Canadian Security Honours 2023: supporters gather for gala event and award presentations

News canadian security honoursCanadian Security Honours, Canadian Security’s annual awards presentation and gala, was held Oct. 17 to a gathering of industry professionals and supporters.
Four awards were presented:
- Emerging Leader: Chris Anquist
- Community Leader: Hi Nguyen
- Lifetime Achievement: Martin Green
- Security Director of the Year: Joey Bourgoin
The event kicked off with a keynote address from Cameron Field, vice-president of the Vidocq Group — an expert on financial crime and a 30+ year veteran of the Toronto Police Service.
Field’s presentation focused on the need for increased collaboration amid complex security challenges, and the merits of a holistic approach to problem-solving.
Lunch and award presentations immediately followed the keynote address, with Tyler Amos accepting on behalf of Nguyen and Anquist accepting via video.
