TORONTO — Police will be giving an update today on their investigation into an armoured car robbery at a Toronto mall.

Investigators say two armed men wearing balaclavas held up security guards making a delivery on Jan. 20 at Fairview Mall (on Sheppard Avenue East).

Shots were exchanged between one of the security guards and one of the suspects in the mall parking lot but police say the guards were not injured.

A quantity of money was taken and both suspects fled in a silver vehicle, which was later located by police a short distance away.

Police have not said exactly how much money was stolen.
