News Data Security cybersecurity data security IBM spamAccording to research recently released by IBM, spammers around the world are like the majority of people: they work Monday to Friday, and take it easier on the weekend.
“Over 83 per cent of all spam was sent during weekdays, with significant drops on weekends across the different geographies where spam messages originated. Over the six-month period we analyzed, the biggest day for spam was Tuesday, followed by Wednesday and Thursday,” reported the company in a blog post.
Globally, the largest originator of spam is India (30%), followed by South America (25%) and China (11%). The U.S. and Canada were a little further down the list (7%), with Russia just below (6%).
