Now there’s an expiring direct thermal label with plenty of room for visitor management systems to print everything needed on the badge, including a photo of the visitor a new product from Visitor Pass Solutions.

One of the obvious advantages of electronic visitor management systems is the ability to put the visitor’s photograph on their badge, helping to authenticate the badge’s usage.

When organizations decided they wanted to put a time limit on their badges so they couldn’t be reused (and wouldn’t have to be collected), they started switching to badges that “expired” by changing color over time.

One problem: the expiring badges were smaller than facilities were using before, limiting how much information they could fit on them. A solution was to put small expiring stickers on their existing badges, but this added to the complexity of issuing badges.

Data Management’s customers begged for a bigger expiring badge, and DMI has responded with its new exclusive FULL-Expiring Visitor Pass for direct thermal printers.

“You used to have to choose between having a badge that expired and having a badge with a photo on it,” says Product Director Suzanne Corcoran. “With our 4” Direct Thermal FULL-Expiring Visitor Pass, you can have both.” And for most VMS users, there’s no need to update software templates since the product is designed for the most commonly-used label size.
