Windows users urged to remove QuickTime

Users of Apple's QuickTime for Windows video player are being cautioned to uninstall the program due to security vulnerabilities. An article on the Global News web site quotes security firm Trend Micro, saying the software contains two critical security vulnerabilities that puts users at risk of viruses and security threats.

Global News says The United States Computer Emergency Readiness team (US-CERT) issued a warning to Windows users last week about QuickTime for Windows.
