Mounties seek photos, videos of Moncton shooting as part of investigation

Police said as part of their investigation, anyone with original videos or photos of the sequence of events are asked to call police.

“Any photos or videos connected to the incident on Wednesday evening are considered evidence and can greatly assist us in the investigation,” RCMP spokeswoman Cpl. Chantal Farrah said in a news release Sunday.

“Anyone, especially those who were under lock-down in the search perimeter of the north end of Moncton, with original photos and videos of the incident are asked to contact police.”

They’re also asking residents in the that area of the city have a look around their properties for evidence.

“We are looking for any evidence that could be related to the shooting,” said Farrah. “We are asking residents to do a visual inspection of their properties. If anyone finds anything that does not belong to them, do not touch or disturb the article and call the Codiac Regional RCMP immediately.”

The Mounties say residents in that part of the city will be interviewed over the coming weeks and they are reminded to stay away from barricades.

Justin Bourque is facing three charges of first-degree murder and two counts of attempted murder in connection with the shootings.

The 24-year-old man appeared in court on Friday to face the allegations and his case was adjourned until July 3.
