David Sulston, MSc., CPP, PSP, CISM
David is the Director of Security for Oxford Properties, a global property management company, and is responsible through his team for overseeing physical security, cyber security in OT environment, Emergency Management and Health and Safety for Oxford.
David has been involved in the industry for over 30 years, and holds a Masters of Science Degree in Security and Risk Management from the University of Leicester. David is board certified through the American Society of Industrial Security as a Certified Protection Professional and Physical Security Professional, and is a Certified Information Security Manager through the Information Systems Audit and Control Association.
David is a founding member of the Commercial Real Estate Security Group, an active member of BOMA Toronto’s Security and Risk Management Advisory Committee, and sits on the Executive Committee of the Real Estate Cyber Consortium.
Jody Reid, Security Manager, H&R REIT, The BOW, Calgary
Jody Reid is currently the Security Manager with H&R REIT at The BOW Tower in Calgary, Alta. His experience in service and security spans three decades with involvement in shopping centres, high-rise towers, and industrial environments. As a progressive and creative leader, Jody promotes an environment where the security mindset assists to enable business. He brings enthusiasm to safety, security and service that redefines expectations.
Roy Manias, Senior Director, Security and Life Safety, National Security Operations, Cadillac Fairview
Roy Manias has 30 years of security and life safety experience at high profile mixed-use urban properties. His career with The Cadillac Fairview Corporation Limited has progressed to his current role as Senior Director, Security and Life Safety.
As part of the National Operations Security Team, Roy’s dedication is to provide support, along with strategic and policy direction to Cadillac Fairview properties in both critical areas of physical security and life safety. Prior to joining National Security Operations, Roy held overall operational responsibility of the Security and Life Safety Program at the Toronto Eaton Centre. Roy is active in various committees in downtown Toronto including a long standing member of the BOMA Toronto, Security Risk Management Advisory Committee. Roy has completed emergency management training at the Canadian Emergency Management College in Ottawa and with Emergency Management Ontario. Roy holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree with Honours from York University.
Covell Phillips, Vice-President, Client Services, Paragon Security
Covell Phillips is an accomplished security professional with nearly 30 years of experience in operations, management, client services, and business development.
He is a graduate of Sheridan College’s Law Enforcement Program and has a mini-MBA from Schulich School of Business at York University.
In his current role, Covell’s responsibilities include client retention, leadership development, culture building, organizational growth, and strategic initiatives.
Under his proven leadership, Covell continues to successfully impact growth by determining the optimal security solution while creating stakeholder value.
David Sinkinson, Co-Founder & CEO, AppArmor
David Sinkinson is the Co-Founder and CEO of AppArmor. David has extensive experience in both public safety software and telecommunications. Having Co-Founded AppArmor in 2011, David has spearheaded the growth of the personal safety and emergency alerting smartphone app market in Canada and the United States. AppArmor continues to be a global leader in configurable end user safety apps.
