
Toronto security dept. Civic Run a success

News Public SectorThe City of Toronto's corporate security department held a Civic Run on Sept. 16 to promote employee engagement, increase security awareness, and raise money for the United Way. Sixteen municipal departments participated, along with two outside organizations, the Canadian Security Association (CANASA) and the Ontario Ministry of Community Safety and Correctional Services.
A total of 89 participants took part in cycling, running and walking events, including an 84-km relay. The event was organized by the Civic Run Steering Committee led by corporate security supervisor, business strategies, Silvia Fraser.
