Recorder replaces tape devices

Fast Forward Video has announced the NDT 200 portable digital video recorder, a replacement for tape-based recording devices. The NDT 200 records in QuickTime format onto a serial ATA removable hard drive, uses a touch pad interface with large push button controls and includes a USB 2.0 port for easy information transfers. In comparison to previous versions, the NDT 200 has an enhanced user interface and greater resistance to vibration.

Other features include selectable compression ratios, dual-channel audio and S-Video inputs and outputs. The recorder is powered through an external low-voltage DC input.
