Queen’s Park prepares to arm some security officers

News Public SectorThe Ontario legislative security force is taking the initial steps toward arming some officers for the first time, the Toronto Star has learned.
To begin with, up to 14 security personnel, including Sgt.-at-Arms Dennis Clark, are headed to the Atlantic Police Academy in Prince Edward Island this month to receive weeklong firearms (pistol) training.
