LOREX, supplier of do-it-yourself home and small business video surveillance systems, announces the release of Stratus Connectivity.

Serving as the connectivity layer for all future LOREX product platforms, Stratus Connectivity, the first complete cloud-enabled connectivity solution on the market, provides customers with an instant connection to their security system from anywhere.

The system reduces set-up time for remote viewing from hours to minutes. In just three steps – download the free app, scan a QR code and input a new password – users are able to access their system from anywhere in the world.

Catering to the new age of mobility, customers can set up their system using an iOS or Android smartphone or tablet without needing to use a computer.

Stratus Connectivity brings cloud-connectivity to Security DVRs (Digital Video Recorders) without sacrificing any features. The solution supports secure remote access using PC, Mac, Android, and iOS. The dedicated apps provide advanced controls, enabling users to view multiple cameras, search and playback recorded footage, and save video or snap shots straight to their mobile device. Connectivity software for all platforms is provided for free, and there are no recurring fees to use the service.

LOREX Stratus Connectivity will make its debut in the Vantage line of home and business security solutions in the newest ECO Series Security DVRs and will be integrated into other LOREX product platforms, including high definition 1080p systems, over the next few months.
