Gallagher Security announces the launch of T20, the latest addition to its T Series range of smartcard and multi-technology readers.
The AutoVu Pay-by-Plate Sync feature from Genetec allows users to consolidate multiple third-party systems into a single parking solution. The latest version of AutoVu provides an open architecture solution for parking enforcement and management. Users can choose various parking technology solutions based on their requirements. As their needs evolve, they can change suppliers for citations management, parking meters or mobile phones, without needing to re-invest in their enforcement system. Pay-by-Plate Sync works with a wide variety of parking permit types, including residential permits, university semester permits, employee permits and shared permits, as well as transient parking transactions from pay stations and pay-by-phone systems. Fastlane Plus 400MA from Smarter Security is an optical turnstile with breakaway barrier arms. It combines advanced optical technology with a barrier to detect and physically impede unauthorized access. 400MA is designed to operate with barriers extended, opening only after an access system approval. At the core of every Fastlane, an infrared beam matrix is coupled with a custom-designed microprocessor equipped with neural network programming. Genetec's Synergis Master Controller (SMC) is an intelligent IP controller based on an open architecture. The SMC will offer native support of widely-deployed and non-proprietary access control hardware from vendors including HID Global and Mercury Security. Synergis is the IP access control system within Genetec's Security Center, the company's unified security platform. Synergis provides real-time monitoring of access events and alarms, as well as cardholder management and reporting. The system enables users to handle thousands of access events in real-time and centrally manage and configure cardholders and credentials across multiple distributed sites. The Synergis Master Controller will be suited for customers who are looking to modernize an existing installation. It will allow them to leverage their corporate or security network to transition to a fully IP-based access control system. SMC will be available in early 2013.
The Honeywell 5816OD is a weather-proof, water-resistant outdoor wireless transmitter that provides detection and performance in extreme temperatures. It operates in temperatures from -40˚ C to +66˚ C. The 5816OD also contains two unique zones. The first loop is a normally closed circuit contact that can have external devices wired directly to it. The second loop is a built-in magnetic reed switch that can be used to protect gates, sheds, detached garages or any other outdoor area with an exit/entry point. It is also a way to protect outdoor equipment when using outdoor rated magnetic pull apart contacts. With its dark gray housing, the 5816OD blends well with most outdoor surroundings and can be custom-painted to match its mounting surface.
