Paladin Security has announced plans to open a new branch in New Brunswick after obtaining a contract with the provincial health networks. The security company says it will be providing services across New Brunswick for Vitalite Health Network and Horizon Health Networks. Extending its services to the province’s healthcare system will entail coverage of 26 sites, which will bring new employment opportunities to the region.

Paladin’s office location will be at 1080 Champlain St. in Dieppe with 2,690 square feet of office space with the potential for an additional 1,100 sq. ft. that will be shared with Concord Parking and Paladin Risk Solutions which are Paladin Security’s sister companies.

The branch will support approximately 300 employees and the company is currently hiring new staff members. The company says health-care security positions will start at an hourly wage of $20 per hour and parking positions at $18 per hour.

Paladin is inviting all New Brunswickers who are interested in starting a career in security to apply for their open positions.

“Through our superior training and support programs, we will work with the regional health authorities to ensure their hospitals are welcoming and safe places where staff and patients can focus on the delivery of care and recovery. We are proud to add this to our Atlantic Canada healthcare success along with Nova Scotia and Newfoundland,” said Paladin’s executive vice president, Blair Davenport in a statement.
