
Ottawa’s Canadian Tire Centre to install metal detectors

News Industry NewsMetro News is reporting that the Canadian Tire Centre, home to the Ottawa Senators, is tightening its security operations with metal detectors and restriction of re-entry for patrons.
According to the article:
“Fans will all have to walk through the metal detectors, and only in some circumstances will patting down or hand-held wands be used. Fans won’t have to remove shoes or belts, but will have to remove metal items from their pockets. Fans will also no longer be able to exit and re-enter the building with the same ticket. As a result, the building’s new smoking policy will allow attendees to smoke in designated areas only before or after games.”
