OPP posts security RFI for 2015 Pan Am Games

News RetailAccording to information supplied to Canadian Security magazine by the Ontario Provincial Police: In 2015, Ontario will host the 17th Pan and Parapan American Games (the Games). The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has been identified as the lead security agency and is working in collaboration with key policing partners in planning for overall Games security.
The OPP is currently seeking information from the private security industry to support security planning and has posted a Request for Information on MERX. Information is requested by Aug. 27, 2012. MERX is an electronic tendering system for participating organizations to support the distribution of information regarding the procurement of goods and services for public and private organizations.
