
ONA questions hospital safety after shooting in ER

News Health Care ER hospital iahss shootingCBC News reports that the Ontario Nurses' Association has expressed concern about safety inside the Guelph General Hospital. An incident took place recently in the hospital's emergency room where a man was fatally shot by two police officers.
“There has been ongoing discussion with this employer because of escalating violence in the Guelph hospital and we have not been successful to this date in having an anti-violence strategy implemented,” ONA president Linda Haslam-Stroud told the CBC.
