Noxious substance released at three theatres

News Industry NewsToronto and Peel Region police have launched separate investigations after a noxious substance was released into three movie theatres in the Toronto area at the same time last week.
CTVNews.ca reports that moviegoers were evacuated from each of the theatres as a result of the incidents on the evening of April 22. Peel investigators said that in the Brampton and Mississauga incidents, the effects of the substances “were similar to that caused by pepper spray,” and that a number of theatre patrons were treated on scene by paramedics.
