MISA Ontario recognizes municipalities for technology innovation

The Municipal Information Systems Association (MISA) of Ontario has recognized several municipalities in its annual awards program, which was held June 4 in Hamilton.

According to MISA, the awards recognize "municipalities, individuals within municipalities and organizations for excellence in the use and delivery of technology."

Nominations are selected for awards by a panel of representatives from various municipalities.

The winners this year include:

City of Cambridge
Cleanup Cambridge
Recipient: Robert Delorme, Manager IT Strategy, Planning, Portfolio & GIS

Town of Innisfil
Custom GIS Applications
Recipient: Grant Cowan, Manager of IT

City of Mississauga
Virtual Campus
Recipient: Shawn Slack, Director Information Technology & Chief Information Officer

City of Toronto
Project Tracking Portal
Recipient: Rob Meikle, Chief Information Officer

City of Toronto
Parking Tags Administrative Penalty System
Recipient: Kalli Chapman, Director Legal Services - Prosecutions
