“What makes you marketable?” Over 200 take in 2017 Security Career Expo

Digital skills, mentorship, lifelong learning and what makes employees marketable were some of the topics covered at this year’s Security Career Expo in Vaughan, Ont. where over 200 students gathered for a day of networking and knowledge sharing.

The majority of the crowd were first-time attendees who took in a panel discussing career paths with a selection of security professionals sharing their journeys in the  industry as well as a panel from relative newcomers.

Mark Lalonde, chief safety officer at Simon Fraser University, presented about careers in public safety and security, detailing roles in the private sector and the students also had over an hour for various 10-minute mentoring sessions.
