The International Association of Healthcare Security and Safety (IAHSS) has announced its newly-elected board directors for 2017. Election ballots were sent to IAHSS voting members electronically during October.

“I am very happy with the outcome and enthusiastically looking forward to working with the board in continuing to move our association and industry forward,” Tuohey said. “This is a terrific organization, and while I have belonged to other associations, this is the only one in which I have maintained membership throughout my career.”

Patrick Lewis was voted in vice-president/secretary. Lewis is the manager of safety, security and telecommunications at Chesapeake Regional Healthcare in Chesapeake, Va.

Member-at-large includes Roy Williams, who serves as the “Kentuckiana” regional director, where he is responsible for the complete operations of the healthcare security and emergency management programs of Baptist Health, the largest not-for-profit hospital system in Kentucky.
