A Securitas spokesperson at the company's Swedish headquarters confirmed this week that Securitas Canada has appointed Trevor Thompson as its new president.

Thompson replaces Perry Clarke, who was appointed president in June of last year after serving in numerous senior roles for the company, including area vice-president for Western Canada. Clarke replaced Dwayne Gulsby, who held the office of president from 2009 before moving on to a senior role with Securitas in the U.S.

Thompson was previously vice-president for Eastern Canada. Other prior positions at Securitas Canada include: branch manager, national director of strategic accounts; and vice-president, national accounts.
