NDP wants probe of Pan Am security contract

According to a story in the Toronto Star, the New Democrats are urging the auditor general to investigate why a security contract for the Pan Am Games was awarded to a U.S.-based company rather than a Canadian one.

The contract was ultimately awarded to Contemporary Security Canada, a subsidiary of California-based Contemporary International rather a group led by Toronto-based Reilly Group of Companies.
