
McAfee exec lands top Homeland Security post

A vice president of security software company McAfee Inc. who holds three patents related to information security, will head the cyber security office of the United States Department of Homeland Security says a new report at IT World Canada.
Amid a wave of constant cyber attacks on the the U.S. the agency has announced that Phyllis Schneck, who was vice-president and chief technology officer for the global public sector at McAfee, will take the position of Deputy Under Secretary for Cyber security for the National Protection and Programs Directorate of the DHS.
