Glen Kitteringham has made it official, announcing this week he is leaving Brookfield Properties as Director of Security and Life Safety in Calgary to become an independent consultant and teach.

Kitteringham, who has been with Brookfield for 13 years, will remain with the company until September 1 during the transition period as a new person takes over his role. His new company will be called Kitteringham Security Group Inc.

On June 3, he left for Saudi Arabia to teach with the International Foundation for Protection Officers for six weeks at the international petroleum company Saudi Aramco.

Kitteringham, an RVP with ASIS who also writes a monthly column and book reviews for Canadian Security magazine, said he enjoyed his time at Brookfield but felt it was time to move on to pursue his other interests which include teaching at the University of Calgary.
