iViewer app from Vivotek

Now available at the Apple App Store, the iViewer ties into an existing server running VIVOTEK’s VAST or ST7501 Central Management Software platforms to allow users to monitor and playback video from potentially hundreds of VIVOTEK IP cameras.

The iViewer is designed to work in conjunction with a server running VIVOTEK’s ST7501 standard-series or VAST professional-series Central Management Software. ST7501 supports up to 32 simultaneous cameras, whereas VAST allows for an unlimited number of simultaneous connections. By tying into an ST7501 or VAST server, the iViewer app has access to the full array of cameras on the platform.

Once connected, the iViewer app allows users a large range of functions to make mobile surveillance as convenient as possible. In Real-Time Video Mode, users may select the cameras they wish to view via a drag-and-drop interface and save their preferred layout. PTZ and ePTZ controls are also possible via touchscreen, enabling zooming in and expanding the detail in megapixel and HD camera images. Realtime snapshots can also be captured and saved to the local device. The iViewer app also supports the
forthcoming FE8171V 360° fisheye camera, enabling viewing of a 360° panoramic view simply by manipulating the image on the screen.

Also available with the iViewer is Remote Playback mode, whereby the mobile device is able to retrieve and view recorded video on the CMS server. Among the options that can be selected are the duration of playback as well as fast forward/rewind and snapshot capture.
