Paladin Security leader Ashley Cooper has been named a Top CEO by job and recruiting site Glassdoor.

Cooper is the only president and CEO within the security industry to appear on the Employees’ Choice Awards for the Top CEOs in 2018. The annual report highlights Top CEOs throughout North America and Europe. Cooper is featured in the Canadian category with a 94 per cent employee approval rating. (With the 770,000 companies reviewed on Glassdoor, the average CEO approval rating is 69 per cent.)

According to Vancouver-based Paladin, the company offers specialized training courses free of charge to help develop its employees personally and professionally. Paladin also adheres to a promotion from within philosophy.

“Winning a Glassdoor Top CEO award is a true acknowledgement of exceptional leadership, as it reflects the opinions of the employees who work with a chief executive every day. I congratulate all of this year’s winners on this significant achievement,” said Robert Hohman, Glassdoor co-founder and CEO, in a statement. “It can be a real recruiting advantage to have a top-rated CEO at the helm of a company who has strong support from his or her employees. The best CEOs are inspiring, trustworthy, innovative and can be great motivators for people to bring their best selves to work.”

“I can personally attest to his level of charismatic leadership,” said Diana Trasolini, Paladin’s senior director, people and culture, of Cooper. “He truly cares about each one of our employees and that is reflected in the way the business operates. Paladin’s focus on corporate culture has driven a significant increase in our ratings on Glassdoor in recent years and we don’t see that trend stopping any time soon!”
