By Canadian Security
News Industry NewsAll of the operations for GardaWorld International Protective Services worldwide have been externally certified to the ISO 18788:2015 standard, titled Management system for private security operations – Requirements with guidance.
This standard builds on the ANSI/ASIS PSC.1-2012 (Management System for Quality of Private Security Company Operations), the Montreux Document and the International Code of Conduct (ICoC) for Private Security Service Providers.
ISO 18788:2015 provides a framework for establishing, implementing, operating, monitoring, reviewing, maintaining and improving the management of security operations.
“Certification to ISO 187881 further demonstrates our ability to consistently provide services that meet our client needs with security solutions that are in conformance with all applicable laws and human rights requirements,” the company states.
GardaWorld believes it is the only PSC in the world to achieve global certification of all of its services to this new standard.
External auditors began their examination of GardaWorld businesses in February 2016, evaluating the company’s operations in Baghdad, Basra, Nigeria and its management functions in Dubai. GardaWorld comments that MSS Global, the third-party certification body, remarked positively on GardaWord’s approach to achieving ISO 18788:2015 and the overall high quality of GardaWorld’s systems to ensure effective security service.
