GardaWorld acquires U.K. risk consultancy

News Industry NewsMontreal-based GardaWorld recently acquired NYA, a global risk and crisis management consultancy, based in London, U.K.
According to GardaWorld, the acquisition will “bring added value to GardaWorld’s global travel security offering and strengthens its position as a major player in the global crisis management market.”
NYA’s Alex Kemp, managing director of special risks, will continue to lead the NYA team.
In a statement posted on NYA’s website, Kemp said, “The NYA team and I are looking forward to joining GardaWorld. Through our combined resources and expertise, we will be able to deliver an enhanced world-leading crisis management offering for clients in all corners of the world.”
NYA’s website states the company has operated since 1990 and offers services in Asia-Pacific, EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) and in the Americas. In addition to its London headquarters, NYA has offices in New York City and Singapore.
