By Canadian Security
NewsGarda Security Solutions has announced the acquisition of McKinnon Services, a privately-held security company based in Quebec City. Financial terms of the transaction were not released.
McKinnon Services specializes in industrial and mining projects, generating $18 million in annual revenues and employing 1,500. The company has a presence on the Côte-Nord and Abitibi-Témiscamingue regions of Northern Quebec. It provides guard services, monitoring, alarm response and other services.
“This acquisition complements Garda’s strategy of blending organic growth with tuck-in acquisitions in a highly fragmented market,” says Marc-Andre Aube, COO of Garda Security Solutions Canada. “We will integrate this acquisition into our existing security platform to strengthen and extend our services in accordance with Quebec’s ‘Plan Nord’ proposal to develop the province’s natural resources.”
