Former McAfee CTO Unveils ‘Cloud DVR’ for Security

News Industry NewsScott Chasin knows a thing or two about building security and cloud companies after launching and selling BugTraq, USA.net and MX Logic. According to the CIO Journal, the entrepreneur is at it again with cloud security software firm ProtectWise Inc., which emerged from stealth mode Tuesday with $17 million in funding from Trinity Ventures and other investors.
ProtectWise acts like a “cloud network DVR,” recording and storing all network activity that customers can replay to track down suspicious activity. Its customers include Universal Music Group and Rally Software Inc.
