Peter Sloly has joined Deloitte as an executive director. He previously served as the deputy police chief of the Toronto Police Service, and will advise on projects coming from Deloitte's risk and forensic practices.

“I’m proud to join Deloitte,” said Sloly. “I’ve said I wouldn’t pursue a job that didn’t allow me to stay true to my values and community, be a thought leader asking the tough questions, or mentor younger generations. In Deloitte I have found a strong match, and I’m looking forward to the challenge ahead.”

Sloly will apply his expertise in the areas of enterprise risk management and emergency response, cyber risk, security, and social media to his new position. As an authority on topics like diversity and inclusion, he will also work in an advisory capacity to the firm.

“Peter has led transformational projects in Toronto and beyond, with an international reputation for being a change agent. He’s a proven leader and out-of-the-box thinker, so we’re excited to bring him on board,” said Ryan Brain, regional managing partner for Deloitte in Toronto. “His impressive experience will serve our clients well, particularly as they face business challenges relating to cyber security, crisis response and digital media.”
