The Toronto Chapter of ASIS International held its 2012 elections on Nov. 17 following its annual security summit, which was held at the Scarborough campus of the University of Toronto.

Starting January 1, JD Killeen, CPP, director of national sales for G4S Canada, will assume the role of chair. Killeen replaces outgoing chair Carol Lovell. “It was a  great  learning experience for me,” said Lovell, “with growth personally and professionally.” The vice-chairman role will be filled by Jason Ball, PSP, who served the chapter as treasurer in 2011. Ball replaces Jim Bradley, CPP, PCI, who has accepted a position with ASIS International’s certification board. The treasurer for 2012 will be longstanding ASIS Toronto member Mike Soberal, CPP. Incoming chapter secretary is Silvia Fraser, CPP, replacing 2011 secretary Tom Fulford CPP, PSP, PCI.

Two senior members of ASIS, Bill Bradshaw, CPP and Jason Caissie, CPP, PSP, will be stepping out of the limelight. Caissie, an Assistant Regional Vice-President since January 2010, is stepping down, and Bradshaw, a 20+ year veteran of ASIS is retiring from his current role as Senior Regional Vice President for Region 50 (Canada). Bradshaw said he’s looking forward to retirement but may re-engage with ASIS in another capacity.
