
Canadians among list of IFSEC security influencers

News ifsec ifsec globalIFSEC Global announced its annual list of security influencers across six categories (one to watch, cybersecurity, and four categories devoted to commercial security).
Canadians named to the list this year include:
- Harold Wax, Global Security Director, PepsiCo
- Jason Caissie, VP Operations, Profile Group
- Michael Brzozowski, Director Security Operations, CIBC
- Sean Sportun, National Director, Strategic Accounts, GardaWorld Canada
- Martin Green, Security Manager, Communications & Emergency Preparedness, Baycrest
- Todd Milne, Director of Security Operations, CONNECT, Fire & Life Safety, University Health Network
- Adriana Gliga-Belavic, Cyber Security & Privacy Partner, MNP
- Magali Calle
- Gabrielle Botbol, Offensive Security Consultant, Desjardins
- Rachel Babins, Senior Cyber Incident Specialist, Bell Canada
- Vanessa Henri, Co-founder, Henri & Wolf
According to IFSEC, candidates are judged based on following criteria:
- Someone who has played a key role in driving technological innovation
- Someone who has been a driving force in changing regulation, standards/guidance or best practice
- Someone whose insights/opinions are widely respected and which are influential in shaping debate around industry issues
- Someone who has been instrumental in the success of the organisation or business they lead or are employed by
- Someone who has helped to raise the industry’s profile or been an influential voice in the national media
