Bosch launches AEGIS SuperLED illuminator
By Canadian Security
Products CCTVBosch Security Systems has extended its range of solid-state illuminators with the launch of the AEGIS SuperLED White Light version. The new illuminator delivers instant start-up white light to enable clear, accurate colour surveillance images at night and to enhance safety in high risk areas.
The new AEGIS SuperLED White Light unit features high-efficiency LEDs with a colour temperature that precisely matches the sensitivity of video camera sensors, assuring surveillance images with maximum color rendition. This feature reduces image noise and increases the video signal to dramatically improve night-time imaging.
AEGIS SuperLED White Light features Bosch’s innovative 3D Diffuser Technology, which distributes illumination evenly between a scene’s foreground and background. This advanced technology eliminates image “hot spots” and underexposed areas common with other LED-based illuminators, while allowing surveillance cameras to operate within their correct dynamic range.
The new white light illuminator also features Bosch’s Constant Light Technology, which automatically controls and adjusts light output to compensate for naturally-occurring LED degradation over time as well as variations in LED output caused by fluctuations in temperature. This capability makes it the only device that can guarantee a constant level of lighting performance for the life of the illuminator, at a temperature range from -40 to +122 degrees Fahrenheit.
With instant start-up, a typical operational life in excess of five years and low power consumption compared to other types of lighting, AEGIS SuperLED White Light delivers a high performance, reliable lighting solution for important safety and security applications. The illuminator is easy to install and features a rugged IP 67 rated housing for tough outdoor conditions.
