The Edmonton/Northern Alberta chapter of ASIS International is holding a special event on April 19-20, 2023 to mark its 40th anniversary as the first ASIS chapter established in Canada.
The event will be called “Fortify,” which, according to a chapter statement, “speaks to strengthening or reinforcing but also to assisting and encouraging, something that the chapter members have done together for 40 years.”
The planned two-day event will include educational elements, keynote speakers, a reception and trade show.
Brent Bauman, chapter chair, said the event offers an opportunity for “our members to gain exposure to some really interesting solutions and new applications of technology for security and of course manufacturers representatives can get their solutions in front of key security managers in the Edmonton and Northern Alberta market.”
He added, “We are looking forward to seeing members from far and wide attend the event. It’s a great way to earn continuing education credits, and of course to connect with members, former members, and leaders in the security industry.”
