On May 3, the third ASIS Montréal event of 2018 was held.

More than 300 participants were present. Bachelors of Security and Police studies presented their internship program to professionals from both the public and private security domains. Thanks to Sylvie Archambault, bachelor program director for the university for her collaboration and support of this event! Also thanks to our sponsor TrackTik who gave the opportunity to many students and participants to have their professional picture taken.

ASIS Montréal also held a contest for the best presentation poster of the student’s internship projects. Congratulations to Alex-Anne St-Vincent who won for her project at the Authorité des marches financiers. The prize was a $250 cheque with an ASIS student membership.

A wine and cheese tasting was organized by Patrick Ayotte, PSP, wine blogger on www.dansmonverre.ca, with the help of François Pelletier, scheduling officer for Sécuritas and Steve Phaneuf, Advisor for Hydro-Québec’s corporate security. Also, many volunteers helped and were very much appreciated by the organizing committee. Thanks to Pauline Faubert, Charlène Bibeau, Jane Preteroti, Miriam Ikhlef, Audrey Thomas, Arianne Laberge, Marianne Béliveau-Lavallée, Élyse Bourdages and Floyd Larathe.

Sylvain Arsenault is the chair of the Montréal chapter of ASIS International.
