
Armed man prompts lock down in Alberta school

News K-12CBC reports that an Alberta school was locked down on the morning of Dec. 16 when a man entered the school armed with a weapon.
According to the report:
Charges are pending against a 37-year-old man following an incident in Lethbridge that prompted a school lockdown.
A man entered the Mike Mountain Horse School around 10 a.m. Wednesday saying he was being chased and that he had a weapon, police said in a release.
No weapon was seen and staff managed to contain the man in an empty room.
The school was locked down as a precaution.
When police arrived, they took the man into custody. At that point, officers found a hatchet concealed in his coat.
