Applications now accepted for 2015 Seminar Experience Awards

The ASIS International Young Professionals Council is now accepting applications for 2015 Seminar Experience awards that will cover the expenses for three up-and-coming security professionals to attend the ASIS International Annual Seminar and Exhibits (ASIS 2015), Sept 28-Oct. 1 in Anaheim, Calif. ASIS International is the leading membership organization for security professionals worldwide.

Sponsored by Securitas Services USA, Seminar Experience awards include a travel voucher, four night’s hotel, full conference registration, and tickets to the President’s Reception and Foundation Night. The deadline for applications is July 31.

To qualify, applicants must:
– Be an ASIS member in good standing
– Be a young professional (under the age of 40) or new to the security profession
– Submit a completed application form including two essay questions

The 2015 winners will be announced by August 21.

Launched in 2014, nearly fifty entries were submitted and evaluated by a committee of veteran ASIS members. The three winners, Jean-Charles Gris (Montreal Chapter), Kara M. Monroe (Central New York Chapter) and Angela J. Osborne (Abu Dhabi Chapter) all made the trip to Atlanta for ASIS 2014.
