Allied Universal acquires Halifax’s Source Security

Allied Universal announced the purchase of Source Security & Investigations, based in Halifax, NS. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

 
“Source Security & Investigations is widely recognized as Canada’s leading security firm and it has grown through a unique model featuring outstanding systems and processes and a strong culture,” said Steve Jones, Allied Universal’s CEO, in a statement. “Adding Source Security to our portfolio of companies greatly expands our Canadian presence, an area we look to continue future growth.”

Source Security was founded in 2002, operates across eight provinces and 21 cities in Canada and offers services including uniformed security, security technology solutions, VIP security, industrial and event security, and private investigations.
 
“We are very excited about this merger because we will be able to provide more opportunity for our people as well as provide additional service offerings for our clients due to Allied Universal’s security technology offerings and largest security force in North America,” said Ron Lovett, President and Chief Support Officer, Source Security & Investigations.
