Allied Universal acquires Atlanta-based security firm

Allied Universal recently announced the acquisition of Norred & Associates, Inc., an Atlanta, Ga.-based full-service security firm.

Established in 1981, Norred & Associates employs more than 830 people and provides services including guarding, investigations, pre-employment screening and security consulting. Conpany revenues are in excess of US$36 million.

“This company has built a trusted brand through outstanding employee and client relationships,” said Steve Jones, global chairman & CEO of Allied Universal, in a statement. “I am honoured to have Norred & Associates be part of the Allied Universal family.”

Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
