Guard scuffles with pair at Saskatchewan legislature

REGINA — A security guard at the Saskatchewan legislature was taken to hospital to get checked after getting into a scuffle with a man and a woman.

Police say the guard was allegedly bitten. Security staff say the two had tried unsuccessfully to get into the building a few times since Sunday.

Colin Rich, who is 32, faces assaulting a peace officer and other charges.

Gianina Burnard, who is 27, is charged with assaulting a peace officer causing bodily harm.

They are to appear in court Thursday. (CKRM)
