Genetec, developer of unified IP security solutions, announced the next generation of its IP-based automatic licence plate recognition (ALPR) cameras, the AutoVu Sharp and AutoVu SharpX. The new cameras enable the concurrent detection of licence plates from a greater variety of models, capturing licence plates from different states or countries on the same system. Customers can also benefit from access to new vehicle behaviour and characteristic analytics, and the ability to deploy up to four high-resolution ALPR cameras on a vehicle, for near-360° capture.
