Vancouver School Board hires Halloween guards
Written by The Canadian Press October 31, 2011
After four elementary schools were damaged by vandals last Halloween, the Vancouver School Board is taking no chances this year.
It has hired teams of roving and stationary security guards to keep watch over school property.
The mobile teams will be responsible for rotating checks while other teams will be assigned to specific schools that could be at a high risk for vandalism.
Residents living near schools are also being urged to report anything suspicious on Halloween night.
