Network camera eliminates blind spots with auto-clip feature
{mosimage}Axis Communications has announced the AXIS 215 PTZ network camera, designed for areas that require both overview and zoom functionality.
The 360-degree camera has been designed with a new auto-flip
feature, which means it has no blind spots. Other features include:
automatic day and night functionality, 12x optical zoom, 4x digital
zoom and autofocusing; simultaneous MPEG-4 and Motion JPEG video
streaming at resolutions up to 4CIF; pre- and post-alarm image
buffering, video motion detection, and scheduled and triggered event
functionality with alarm notification.
The device also offers two-way audio support so remote users can listen in on an area and communicate orders or requests to visitors or intruders, and supports audio alarms, making it possible to detect the noise from intruders even in the dark.
Network security features in the AXIS 215 PTZ include multi-level password protection, IP address filtering and HTTPS encryption. It comes with all indoor mounting accessories, and is supported by the industry’s largest base of application software through the Axis Application Development Partner program, as well as the AXIS Camera Station video management software. The AXIS 215 PTZ will be available through Axis distribution channels in June 2007.
